The "slap" is not even a slap. It is nothing ... totally blown out of proportion. Even if it was intentional - these people are married and have three children together. They are a bit in a no win situation - people call them boring, too conservative and stiff. Now they are wearing less boring clothes and are not that stiff - and they are getting critized again.

Yes, the social media ducking pond…. Can’t win!

I think Will and Catherine are often pitied for being in a can't win situation when a lot of that is their own doing. I don't have any problem with professional PDA.  I think it's charming when Leti puts her hand through Felipe's arm, and when Victoria does the same thing with Dan. Nobody is saying they have to be contactless automatons.  Gentle, loving touches on the back are sweet to see.  I don't even care if she grabs his butt when they are not on official duties.  Whatever they want to do then and however they want to behave then is their prerogative.

My issue is that they were there officially on duty in his role as President of a respected organization and it was unprofessional and inappropriate.  That's it.

As getafix said, could any of us see HLM cheekily grabbing at Phillip's behind while on duty?  Not trying to make a fuss...just dish my opinion!

Exactly. It’s exhausting.
They were walking fast and laughing/joking about something and I think it just happened in the flow. It’s not like she actually grabbed his ass or there was anything remotely sexual about it.

Someone asked about this a few days ago.

Per Richard Palmer

“ The Prince and Princess of Wales will reopen their sporting rivalry, attending the Wales v England rugby union international on Saturday - now on after the Welsh players yesterday dropped plans to strike. William’s patron of the Welsh and Kate of the English rugby union bodies.”

The Prince and Princess of Wales will be back in South Wales next Tuesday, February 28, ahead of St David’s Day to champion mental health initiatives and meet local communities.

I thought they'd be there, glad it's been confirmed. George has school on Saturday morning so that probably precludes his attendance. Pity though, I'm sure he'd love to go.

I wonder if they would get backlash if they brought George? I don’t see the harm of a kid missing school for an important event, as long as it’s not often. However they have a lot of pressure to be perfect parents which might dictate some of their choices.

I have a feeling that it would set a bad precendce with other pupils, Lambrooke makes the point on their website that Saturday school is mandatory. We all know the The Wales children all have certain privileges, but it won't help George with his schoolmates and their parents if he attends the game and is seen having a fine time, as opposed to say a remembrance service for a grandparent.

However, I believe Charlotte is not to the grade level yet when Saturday school is mandatory, so she could go.

I think George would be lumbered with “what team are you supporting” given the fact that he’s both English and a future Prince of Wales. I’d leave him at school.

IMO the kids should only be pulled out for things like funerals, memorials, weddings, illness, etc.  Schooling should always be more important than attending engagements as a child's only "job" is to get and education...the rest can come later.  Any royal pulling their child from school to attend a sports match will get the side eye from me.

I was wondering what floral tribute would be presented to the Welsh guards on Wednesday  and now I know.

They are at the rugby match. Kate is wearing red and white houndstooth coat (maybe worn in Norway?) and William a red scarf.

This one? It's one of my favorites!
