I am haven't really been posting, because I am still trying to absorb everything that has happened in the last 24 hrs. Seeing the titles Prince and Princess of Wales, that has been decades since someone held that official title. All my hopes to them.
It was actually about 24 hours. Camilla may not have used the title Princess of Wales but she held it as she did all of the other titles held by Charles. Charles waited the longest time of any eligible heir to be created Prince of Wales while he has moved in the fastest ever time. Even George III waited about a week before creating George IV as PoW after his birth and Victoria waited a month after the birth of the future Edward VII.

I thought it would be awhile that William became the Prince of Wales but now that it’s happened, it’s actually an excellent idea and showcases the kind of King Charles wants to be. He doesn’t want to dilly dally or have none stop editorials about when William will get the title or why it hasn’t yet been bestowed upon him. (Charles mad at Will so he will bypass Will and give POW title to George…Camilla mad at Kate, etc etc). He is just moving the family forward.

I have heard a few British 'royal experts' now calling Catherine 'Princess Catherine', which she isn't or I must have missed the announcement that Charles was also creating Catherine a Princess in her own right.

They could never get it right with her MIL, so I don’t expect they’ll change now.

I’ll take Princess Catherine over Kate Middleton. Have at it guys.

And sadly still many media outlets such as Hello! or the DM refer to her as "Kate Middleton". She is the Princess of Wales, and despite a few initial, uncertain years, she and William have earned that title. Let's hope that, in time, their workload reflects that of the previous Prince and Princess of Wales: Charles and Camilla.

I might be speaking out of line, but I think what luvcharles was meaning was that Kate will never be “Princess Catherine” because of the way the BRF styles their titles. Only “blood princesses” are Princess X. Married-ins are “Her Name, HRH The Princess (Husband’s Name)” because the married in person is not royal, the title is royal. Kate will be “Catherine, HRH The Princess of Wales.” I need to do some research and see if W&K truly have the PoW titles without doing all the official investiture stuff, plus I’m reading that the people of Wales don’t want this to be a thing any more so I wonder what will come of that. Regardless, the media will mostly still refer to her as Kate Middleton when it’s negative and Princess Kate when it’s positive.

I’m not surprised. American media has been calling her Princess Kate since 2011 lol. Now that she’s princess of wales, the princess title is only going to be more widely used world wide.

Didn’t the Queen herself set the precedent by referring to “Princess Diana”?

Hey luvcharles,
Now that William and Catherine are P/POW do they also ‘own’ High Grove?
If so I wonder if they will give up Anmer and use HG as their getaway home now that they’ll have priority at Sandringham if Charles decides to continue having Christmas there
