The minute I saw these photos, I knew that maroon/red was in Qatar's flag and sure enough.. Kate looks good, though. I'd like to see a better picture of her necklace. It’s the same necklace she wore for Prince Philip’s funeral. There are many good photos of her wearing it and also of her late MIL wearing it and of HLMTQ. It’s the japanese pearl necklace. |

I've been looking at more pictures online and there's something about the cut of the coat that I just don't like. Pity because this is a lovely shade on her. I would have loved to see her burgundy coat from Eponine repeated as I have a particular love for that one. But I'm not sure how the shades of the two coats differ especially with respect to the flag. Though looking at some pictures that hat might have been worn with the Eponine coat last year...or it again just a slightly different shade. https://www.katescloset.c...een-elizabeth-iis-passingI do like the leather boots and gloves. She tends to favor suede for her boots and knit gloves so it's a nice change. I am slightly surprised that Kate didn't go for jewelry with Qatar origin. Surely some exists in the vault somewhere. Though whether or not it's daywear appropriate would be the next question. |

I like this look and because it is December the boots are more appropriate for the outfit then the heels she would wear in the past. |
