I've been looking at more pictures online and there's something about the cut of the coat that I just don't like.  Pity because this is a lovely shade on her.  

I would have loved to see her burgundy coat from Eponine repeated as I have a particular love for that one.  But I'm not sure how the shades of the two coats differ especially with respect to the flag.  Though looking at some pictures that hat might have been worn with the Eponine coat last year...or it again just a slightly different shade.

I do like the leather boots and gloves.  She tends to favor suede for her boots and knit gloves so it's a nice change.

She wore the eponine once inside BP. She changed the coat and the boots - court shoes.

I don't think she got changed, the inside photos I have seen are exactly the same coat and boots.

I'm still of two minds about that bow. 

Louis looks like he is being very careful of his lit candle. I remember other years when he had that look I have seen on so many children's faces on Christmas Eve - I'm getting to hold a lighted candle, wheee!

I believe she is re-wearing a midi length plaid skirt under the coat. She wore it to a KP staff and family Christmas party years ago with a black turtleneck.

I like that she is wearing boots, it gives the outfit a modern look. Kate looks relaxed, it has been such an emotional year.

They went on a tree outside the Abbey which was a "kindness tree" where those invited had been encouraged to write the name of someone who had helped them this year.

Louis wrote "thank you to grandma and grandpa because they have played games with me"
