It’s wonderfull to see how these young working members of the Royal Family, as well as the King and Camilla, come across as warm, engaging and not full of themselves. Not everybody has that in them, some people can make everything about themselves.

The rainbows

During the engagement William said the royal family had seen five rainbows above Balmoral after her death on September 8.
‘You hardly ever see rainbows up there, but there were five, ‘ he said.
The Princess replied: ‘Her Majesty was looking down on us’

Per Rebecca English.
William and Kate are thanking the people who sorted the portaloos, bins, moved flowers, programmed the road signs etc - all the unsung heroes who ensured everything ran so smoothly over the last few days.

Aubiette Star There have been so many rainbows through the last two weeks, and there was also a meteor over southern Scotland. I know I'm a silly, sentimental old fool but I have enjoyed thinking they were signs from above.

They are KC, they are.  Wink  Sentimental you may be, but you are not an old fool. Never!

The "Us four" part is strange to me. Was no consideration given to whether Margaret's own family (children/grandchildren) might want to be interred near her at some point?

I'm sure that Sarah and David made the decsion for cremation and placement in the vault. They were Margaret's children and her her next of kin after all. They were very close to HLM, and if Sarah and David had been totally against it they could have made other arrangements and the RF would have supported them. As it was they honored her wishes.

Perhaps because of Margaret's turbulent life, she wanted to hark back to the comfort of her childhood, when it was 'just us four.'

Margaret being cremated was her decision and made known to her children before she died. They knew and understood it. She didn't want to be buried in the Frogmore burial ground where other members of the family are, and in the future will be buried.

I'm pleased to see that the couple are visiting Wales so soon after the mourning period ends.  Smiley

Great to see them visiting Wales - Holyhead and Swansea are 4+ hours apart by car, so I'm guessing the helicopter will get a work out

There are some great photos of their arrival in the DM's article. Little Theo who presented Catherine with a posy steals the show.
