Indeed.

I guess several women are better in action than on still images

Frustrated at the media coverage of walkabouts, heir to the throne’s idea to shake things up is a gamble he is willing to take,' writes @gordonrayner

Thursday is the first time The Royal Foundation is piloting a new "Community Impact Day" designed to leave lasting legacy and impact from Prince William and Princess Catherine's visit.
It is understood The Prince and Princess of Wales intend to pilot other 'Community Impact Days' next year, focusing on other issues they are passionate about.

I wonder who Princess Catherine is.

None of the males, in the BRF, able to pass on HRH to their daughters have a daughter named Catherine.

The Princess of Wales isn't the daughter of Charles, William, Harry, Andrew or Edward so she isn't a Princess with her own name.
LOl! However IMO far better than the headlines I read about Princess Camilla or that the "their majesty" titles were taken away from abc royals. You honestly ask if they had the sports reporter write the articles.

T'was bound to come. Her late MiL was called by the moniker of Princess Diana or Princess Di enough that it's been dredged up and awarded to Kate. We're stuck for the present. Eh. Whatcha gonna do but  Roll Eyes

From The Street to The Rainbow Centre and everyone in between, we loved meeting you all in Scarborough today.

Showing what can be done when a community comes together!

Nice Video

So so pleased to announce £345,000 of funding from The Royal Foundation and @TwoRidingsCF, leaving a lasting legacy of support for young people's mental health here in Scarborough.
The young people we’ve had the pleasure of meeting today will play a key role ensuring this funding gets exactly where it needs to go and makes a difference to communities across Scarborough now and way into the future.

Sweet moment via @royallybelle_
Cancer survivor Mr Leake met William and Catherine in Scarborough and the Princess gave him a hug🥺

An emotional Mr Leake, 73, said: 'She will never know how much it meant to have her reach out to me that way, I will never forget the kindness she and William showed me.'

I like the caramel-coloured outfit, the colour is both warm and clear, looks good on her.  Yes

I love that Mr. Leake enjoyed meeting her so much - he looks so proud holding that photo of the two of them. I feel like we've seen this before when someone has been through a tough time and they get so excited meeting a royal. It warms my cold heart a bit to see people made so happy by simple kindness.

This is why I firmly believe that a substantial amount of their work needs to be in person and much more varied than a narrow focus on their specific interests.  After all, this man seems to have met her outside.  I appreciate the value to providing their interests with royal backing, but they miss out so many people if they only stick to the same few patronages/interests.  When the Queen died, so many were able to say they had met her at *banal event*, or walkabout etc.  Seeing is believing.

I hadn’t thought of that but you are absolutely right.

100% agree - there is a reason the late Queen said she "had to be seen to be believed". There is a time and a place for video and telephone calls but I don't think that should be the "norm". People need to feel a connection to the Crown and RF through personal interaction even if that is just a glimpse of them in a car or at a huge walk about. One of the children in a class I teach spent all day today talking about how they'd seen the Princess of Wales at the weekend - it didn't matter that it was at the rugby game in a stadium with thousands of other people. People are more use to seeing people on screen than ever - it's not the same as a "in person" meeting / experience.

Festival of Remembrance

It looks the black version of the white Self Portrait suit she has. Beatrice also owns it in black and white.  I don’t like the necklace with the poppies.

Necklace is far too blingy. She should have gone with something more understated.

Neither do I. It's too much up top IMO.

Agreed.  It's completely unnecessary.  In most of the pictures, I do really like her makeup.  She looks so nice with a little bit of lip color.

ITA that the necklace is too much.  I also dislike the placement of her poppies.  While I understand why she put them there as it works best with the lapels of the dress, being so low and centered (but not) looks odd.  Granted the necklace probably makes it look worse.
