They are advertising for 4 jobs in total including an “Events and Visits Manager”, HR advisor and Correspondence Officer so they definitely seem to be expanding their office. Bear in mind they also may well have taken on some of Charles old PoW staff - those who were given notice their jobs may be at risk when he became King, the timing suggests to me they may have taken on some of those people and only now be advertising for positions that couldn’t be filled from them. I suspect they have a reasonably large staff now but probably no where near as big as Charles’ old staff.
Interestingly these aren’t advertised on the Royal website which use to have a specific link to jobs for Charles and Camilla and William and Catherine. Nor is it on the main Royal Household LinkedIn just the new Prince and Princess if Wales one. Hopefully people with experience still see it!
**grabs resume and runs to the airport** I promise I'll give you all some fun nuggets when I make it on their team Please do, and don't forget where you came from! ... you'll need an Advisory Group, you know ... we're here for you ... waiting ...

True! But it might just be the same method, that companies employ very often: it keeps their names in the public as a company that hires (aka thrives!) and expands..I find that most jobs here that are advertised aren't really open for new hires, they already have the person they want lined up, but for appearance sakes they want to keep the illusion of being fair and open to all and sundry.
Exactly. There are feelers all over and one never knows where you will find talent. And, putting out ads gives you an idea, or snapshot on what is going on in the marketplace. Getting too few, or too many resumes can indicate to the HR department how working at the palace is perceived. Also, there could be resumes received for future openings as well.

Sorry but he looks poorly dressed as always and if she is rewearing why have the too long and too wide pants not be refitted? And if there is any money from the budget left over suggest a cheap haircut and if you really are packing boxes then a huge ring would be in the way.... I call a photo op only and maybe a carefully arranged “oh here we aren’t doing anything”

The next time I hear about royals saying they are there to “learn” about something I’ll suggest they can do that from home .... really... guess all that expensive education was for nothing....

They are there to highlight causes. Bring attention to the cause and in doing so inform and engage the public. A “photo op” complete with newspaper articles, highlights on the news, etc does this. Visiting a food bank, loading food crates for delivery, thanking and meeting volunteers, and educating themselves on the work being done, during a cost of living crisis, isn’t a bad thing IMO.

I do wish they go to these sorts of things looking a bit more “ready to work”. These visits are just as much about building their PR as they are about raising awareness. Hair up, sensible but nice clothing, jewelry left home, etc. And if they’re only going to do one thing on these days a “full” volunteer shift would be nice to see.
As I’m typing this an idea struck me that it would be amazing for the BRF to offer paid volunteer hours to their employees and create a website highlighting how the Household gives back. Even just 20-25 paid volunteer hours a year would be a huge PR win considering they have hundreds of employees.

Agreed. They are visiting a local food pantry, the “bread and butter” engagements. He is dressed in his uniform, which is usually inappropriate but it actually works in this setting. She looks great too, the pants are on trend, kind of like a new take on palazzo pants. I’m convinced big blue is a replica that she wears to these kind of engagements. It’s not like she does much but packing groceries, planting trees, cooking, can be serious wear and tear on a 50 year old huge ring. I think the real one comes out at galas, state dinners, etc.

Apparently those too long dragging on the ground pants are several years old but probably hardly worn ... if you are apparently going to do something in terms of helping then it would not be in those shoes ... so I’ll just say do a lot lot better next time... my mother left her big engagement ring off almost always as she actually worked... oh it was not at that price point... an aquamarine 😆

Ignore Re: News and photos Prince and Princess of Wales « Reply #918 on: Today at 01:14:24 PM » Reply with quoteQuote Quote from: Aubiette on Today at 12:53:22 PM Catherine’s clothes are rewears. The Prince and Princess of Wales visit Foodshare in Windsor to learn more about the support it provides to individuals and families living in the local area, before helping volunteers to sort food donations and prepare packages for clients. Rebecca’s thread with videos https://twitter.com/re_da...;t=OXbti3nNsLHg_N8Ch69m2QSorry but he looks poorly dressed as always and if she is rewearing why have the too long and too wide pants not be refitted? And if there is any money from the budget left over suggest a cheap haircut and if you really are packing boxes then a huge ring would be in the way.... I call a photo op only and maybe a carefully arranged “oh here we aren’t doing anything” From viewing the photos he seems to be wearing what most of the other men are dressed in. Something that is warm and allows for movement. As for Catherine's ring, I doubt that she was the only person wearing one today. She's had it now since 2010 and has managed to pack food donations, play with toddlers, etc.. all while wearing it. So I was surprised to read that Windsor Foodshare also accepts and offers cleaning products to their clients. These items which can be pricey, aren't always covered by some food assistance programs but are necessary ones. Good to see that this organization has generous donors who are considering all of the needs that an individual or family might need.

from what I can tell, they weren’t actually packing any boxes, just helping to get food from the shelves and putting them into bags. And if they had been packing boxes, they would have been wearing gloves.
As for their clothes, they both seem to be dressed in similar styles to everyone else.
and as for her hair, she can wear it however, she wants to. The only issue with the style with me if she was working around food preparation, and then you would expect her to tie it back.I don’t buy into the notion that a woman must cut her hair once she reaches a certain age

I'm more taken back by them using a huge gas guzzling Land Rover Defender to visit such a local charity - they use hybrid or electric cars plenty so why they didn't to effectively "pop down the road" I don't know.

All the men were all dressed exactly like William...
As for Kate, this seems to be the current uniform replacing the coat dresses. It's neat and professional.
