Yes tbf if it is the UK memorial for Constantine I'm not sure the plan would be to invite a whole host of foreign royals beyond family and UK royals.
I assume Lady Gabriella will likely attend as well as Constantine was her godfather.

Did the London memorial service scheduled for January 27th actually come to pass? Charles for sure wouldn't have been in attendance.

is there another memorial service for Tino?

It’s a private event, so it isn’t our business which family members attend I would think…

We can still talk about it, though.

I do find it odd to have it in Windsor, as the main Orthodox church is in London (where Pavlos and Alexia were married).

I may be wrong, but I always had the impression that this service was set up as a way for the Windsors to honour Constantine, who was a good friend of theirs. It was sort of presented that way in the British press around the time of the funeral when there was an outcry that neither Charles nor William were there. I’m sure Charles would go to this if he could, but I have no idea what is up with William.

Constantine was a public figure and a controversial one at that. He will always attract comment regardless of the public/private nature of any event associated with him.

Constantine was a good friend to the Windsors but he was also tightly related to them. Through Philip, Constantine and Charles are 2nd cousins. Through Elizabeth, Constantine and Charles are 3rd cousins once removed.

So private that the British RF Communication team have released an operational note about it to the media...

Seems the BRF aren't seeing it as a private event at all.

“Operational note” would indicate that it’s unofficial I would think? Happy to be corrected!

Well they have used operational notes for many other official events… a NATO reception, reception for those involved in the late Queen funeral etc which were in the Court Circular.

However the point I was making is you said it was private and the operational note, which includes a box explicitly stating “engagement- for publication or broadcast”, released by BP clearly suggests it is not “private” as in we aren’t meant to know anything about it or shouldn’t be discussing it which is what you implied.

Whether we get to see any of it is a different matter, whether it is an official event noted in the CC is a different matter… but I think even BP would accept it is not private and people will and can talk about it… as they have released info about it specifically for public info.

I would also be surprised if it wasn’t an official event listed in the CC given the operational note.

Kongehuset’s calendar says that Benedikte will attend Constantine’s memorial service, and Fred has a council of state that day. No mention of Margrethe.

It will be interesting to see if Margrethe attends or not. She looked like she was drawing on every last bit of strength she had just to get through the handover with Frederik.
