thank you, Ghost, (I was searching for the right expression, since English is not my mother language)

The Hippocrate's Oath, which by the way is pictured (hanging on a wall) in almost all doctor's waiting rooms(at least in my country or where I live), is  still reminding doctors of why they studied medicine and are pracitsing as doctors.

I know this is getting into off- topic, so I better leave it like that.

Agree or disagree with her choice or how she handled it but I do think she was right in not leaving it for Fred to deal with. Not to go OT but others should have handled some things too instead of leaving a mess.  Whistle Good for Marge on that point.

HM Queen Margrethe gave an interview to @weekendavisen (only for subscribers).

"I'm not happy to get into it, if I'm honest. It´s still too early to talk about it. For me it has been important that it should not be Frederik's decision. It was better that it was me, an old woman decided it."

Who gives two hoots, if she is happy or not? She is paid by the people, so they have a right of an explanation.

Loosely translated as:

Queen Margrethe of Denmark underwent successful surgery, the court announced on Wednesday evening. The queen had to undergo major back surgery, but according to the palace, it came out "good and stable given the circumstances".
Margrethe will remain in the Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen for the foreseeable future. After that, a long period of recovery and physical rehabilitation awaits her.

Crown Prince Frederik has been acting as regent for his mother since Tuesday. He will go to India for an official visit on Saturday. Then Margrethe's sister Benedikte will do the honors as regent.

I saw reports today that Margrethe got out of her hospital bed for a “short walk”, I can’t help but wonder if it was to the nearest smoking area! Apparently Fred and Mary visited her.

But even if it was to get to the nearest smoking area, it still shows that she has quickly recovered and is walking around after such a surgery.

If she was feeling very unwell, she wouldn't walk around after surgery, not at that age! Never ever..., not even for a smoke...

Yes it’s a really good sign, especially with back surgery! Her spine must be in fairly good shape.

(And hopefully they have her on nicotine patches for a while anyway!)

😹 Don’t put it past the royals to smoke inside a hospital! Didn’t Fred smoke on flights?
