I know Ascot has a super strict dress code, does that include women must be in long sleeves? Because I think Zara’s outfit would be perfect if it had short sleeves. Notice the woman behind Zara is wearing that blue dress that Kate has worn to Ascot and I think a garden party.

Oooh, Camilla’s first time in the Pearl Shell Brooch that the Queen Mother wore often. I love that brooch!

Nice turn out for day one! Not huge on the pattern of Bea or Zara’s dresses. And always good to see Edo!

Birgitte has the best jewels and are not afraid to wear them, one can fear what will happen with them after her death, her children seems very low key and not interested in a public life.

Zara's dress with a different (or no) collar and without the poofy sleeves will maybe be ok. It reminds me of a shower curtain in a bed and breakfast house.

Here’s the link to each enclosures dress code.  Personally I don’t consider it to be overly strict.

While I love that Cam's brought out the Queen Mum's Pearl Shell brooch for a much needed airing, I think it would have been better shown off on a colored dress. Vice versa, one of the large sapphire brooches wouldn't have been amiss on her cream colored outfit today.

Leg o' mutton sleeves have been making an appearance over the last few years. They can go away now.

Edo always looks dapper, and it was nice to see him and Bea, likewise Zara, Mike, Peter and Lindsay.

Brigitte wins the day fashion wise again, IMHO, though I love the colors of Anne's outfit too.
