I say MORE red on Kate. That color is magical for her. And I think the Wales/York carriage had the most fun. There's a photo of Beatrice giving a side-eyed look and it's the first time I've ever seen her look sexy. Marriage so clearly agrees with her.
I wonder what the royals do after they go home from the race meet besides kick off the shoes and pull out the hatpins. It looks like a fun outing, but the fact that they are so totally and constantly on public display has to be unnerving. Here in the US, with the possible exception of the triple crown races, you're much more likely see folks in shorts, tank tops, flip flops and beer-can hats. (yes, that's at thing).

I would imagine they get in tees, sweats, or pajamas, wash off the makeup, comb out the hair, grab a glass of wine and either veg in front of the telly or read a fun novel. As an introvert, an outing like this would exhaust me and would need time to decompress at the end of a day constantly being 'on' and interacting with people I barely know. Being with family or close friends does't drain me, but this sort of event would for sure.   |

everyone looks lovely today but I LOVE Kate’s look!!  I’m visiting London with my family and we happened to be at Windsor today. we saw all the royals get into their cars after lunch heading to Ascot! my parents kept trying to leave bc nothing was happening but I insisted on staying since I knew the family would be coming out soon. we were on the opposite side of the quadrangle so it was quite far away but Kate’s cherry red was super easy to spot and I knew immediately it was her. Charles waved at us on the way out! Happy you! Congratulations,Amethyst  |

I guess I am the only dissenter but ..... I don't like Catherine's outfit or rather I don't like it at this event. She looks good in red when she wears a red coat etc. and maybe I will like this outfit at another event and another time . Sophie looks better today than yesterday (no granny-nighty today) and Beatrice looks quite sweet.
It has been a long long week of dress-up.

For once, I Gemsheal, the pickiest nit-picker of picky nits, can find no fault with anyone's appearance. Everyone looks smashing. Thumbs up BRF  Would like to add that everyone seems to be really enjoying each other's company and having fun together. |

Obviously, Kate looked great but put just about anybody in that style of dress with the beautiful hat, they would look terrific. 100% no risk outfit. She reminds me of the kids in school who take gym class, art, music, cooking and get all As. And then the kids that are taking Calculus, Trig, Biology are getting Bs and Cs but ultimately getting worse grades but better educated. Plus, her earrings were bad. Put on some beautiful ruby earrings with a matching small, ruby necklace.
That being said:
MVP—Camilla for her amazing stylish hat that surprised me.
Good try but benched award —Bea as all that lace just doesn’t suit her.
Penalty Box—Sophie looked better than yesterday but still very matronly with a head to toe washed out color.
