The hair, years of bleaching has reduce her hair to straw!!!
Not keeping up with royals for so long and seeing how they look now is a shock, this someone has to tell this woman.
She will be brushing 3 hairs in 5 years.
She needs serious deep conditioning!! A new shorter hair style would help too.

Well, those fritillaria-based earrings just blew me away. I wonder if they're costume or fine jewelry? And if they are all gemstones, how did them make that checkered effect for the blossom? I've never seen anything quite like them. I realize they are probably minor compared to the access Max has to the Dutch jewelry, both the pieces that are associated with the crown and those she has acquired over the years. But I thought they were way way cool.
The petals have a wire rim on each, and might be formed by carefully controlled melted glass. The stems are gemstone, or at least they sparkle, but the petals are not. Yes, I think it’s cloisonné. They are mind-blowing! Gorgeous! Max has toned it down at last. Thank goodness we’re spared her “I’m an EXTROVERT!!!!” schtick now! The year is young. Give her time. I'm sure we'll see an overblown monstrosity in either dress or jewelry (or both?) soon

Thank you Hester - I was thinking the earrings could be either cloisonné which is enamel or glass. Either way it was painstaking delicate work.

It doesn't matter how old you get, buying snacks for a road trip should always look like an unsupervised 9-year-old was given $100. Anonymous

ANDREW DENTON: Yes. What did... When you first met, what did you see in each other? CROWN PRINCE FREDERIK: What did we see in each other? We saw... Well, it's a bit hard. It's a bit blurry, in a way, because it was just after the Olympics had started and it was one of those evenings where...

At this point she'd do well to pull a Charlene, whack it all off and then let it grow out uncolored and healthy.

Queen Máxima wants to try to bring crochet work by women from Almere Haven to the Princess Máxima Center. The Queen visited the Almere district on Wednesday (January 24), where she and Mayor Hein van der Loo visited a crochet club in a local community room. Tiny, the initiator of the crochet club, said that she had once tried to donate crocheted hats and mouse cuddly toys to the hospital for children with cancer. However, these cannot be accepted due to hygiene rules, continued a disappointed Tiny. “I'll make contact with them. I'm going to call them and see what we can arrange," Máxima said. “I understand it, because the children's resistance is so low.”
The women of the crochet club suggested that it was also possible to sell the items. This way, the proceeds can go to the hospital. Máxima also thought that was a nice plan. “When people experience something so terrible, it is nice to see that other people think about how they can make it a little better,” the queen said.
Discussions included living in Almere Haven, the activities available there, but also loneliness. Máxima herself also crocheted a bit, but according to the queen herself, that did not go well. “We are very proud,” concluded Mayor Hein van der Loo. Máxima was slightly less satisfied and decided to crochet with a slightly cynical tone: “well, not me.”https://www.1almere.nl/20...zo-zag-haar-bezoek-eruit/Loosely translated as: Queen Máxima leaves Almere Haven with a smile and a waste pick: this is what her visit looked like
In Proud of Almere January 24, 2024
Queen Máxima visited Almere Haven on Wednesday afternoon. She visited various locations to see what initiatives were being organized in the district. The program included a visit to Het Buurtlokaal, where the queen talked to participants of a craft club. 1Almere was there.
The queen arrives in Almere Haven around half past three. She mainly wears a lot of brown, including her jacket and heels. There is a lot of press, but residents of Almere are also present.
She joins the crochet club in the neighborhood room. Here she greets, among others, Mayor Hein van der Loo and Tiny Nieuwendaal-Harmsen, the manager of the community center. Máxima sits down with the mayor and greets everyone present at the table.Actually, the ladies start crocheting right away. “What are we making?” Van der Loo asks. The ladies are laughing, they are crocheting a leaf. The Queen finds it difficult: “I'm not doing it a bit well.” Tiny helps both the mayor and the queen.
In the meantime, Máxima talks to the ladies about Almere Haven. “Has Almere Haven changed?” Your Majesty asks. Actually, every lady answers 'Yes'. They also talked about various topics in the Havenkom such as housing and loneliness.
When asked what the crocheters think of the queen's arrival, Tiny has a clear answer: "I immediately got butterflies in my stomach."
Who can tell us something about the Haven Academy? Just before four, Maxima leaves the crochet club and continues her way to OSG De Meergronden. Here she also speaks briefly with the headmaster of the school, parents and students. “Who can tell me what the Haven Academy is,” Maxima asks.
A student explains that it is an extracurricular school where you can do all sorts of things: “You can dance and do crafts.”
“It is important that all children get a chance,” says a parent at the table. A student explains that they learn a lot through these opportunities: “You can make really nice things with old clothes, I didn't know that I could draw very well. I found that out during drawing class.”
'Selfie was not allowed' Afterwards, founder Jessica van Ommen-Ceballos said that she had prepared this for a long time, but still found it exciting. They secretly also had an end goal, but that did not work out: “We really wanted to take a selfie, but that was not allowed,” says a parent laughing.
The queen visits the school's art project around 4:20 p.m. This was made by students from MAVO-4 for their final exam assignment in progress. The majority of the drawings have the theme 'nature'. A student explains that a murder has been committed in her drawing. “Oh,” says the queen, laughing.
The students explain to the queen how their work came about: “It was a lot of work,” says one of the students.
Just after half past four the queen walks to Senior-Live. Here she meets director Gijs Roelofsen. Senior-Live helps seniors with personal support with questions about the use of the computer, tablet, smartphone and the internet. During her visit, the Queen will also talk to volunteers and seniors who work or often visit there.
A lady said she registered because she could not understand her Dropbox via her phone. “It's just not convenient to help, with all those camera people,” she says, laughing. “I learn more here and then I can do more,” she says.
At 4:50 PM Gijs shows the workshop space. Volunteers and visitors sit here. Ineke came here to learn how to use her phone: “I do shopping for clothes, banking…”, “Is DigiD going well?” Maxima asks. Ineke says yes.
The elderly here learn to use both the telephone and the computer. This is how Truus helps people with Windows. Máxima says she approves of this initiative. Ineke then has one last word for both the mayor and the queen: “A lot is being done for us, you don't have to sit at home.”
Waste picker from Loek Around five o'clock the queen leaves for the Corrosia community center. Here she has a conversation with residents of Almere Haven about neighborhood activities and social cohesion. A youth worker and neighborhood watch are present, among others. At the end of the conversation, Máxima received a waste pick from neighborhood caretaker Loek Kaizer. She accepts this with a smile.
At the end of the visit, around half past six, a group photo is taken with all participants of the neighborhood visit.
At half past five the queen leaves for home again.
