Grandparents who only occasionally interact with their grandchildren can create a lot of stress for the kids. Have seen grandparents who expect the grandchildren to perform a notion of childhood that is completely unrealistic.
I would anticipate that that might be the situation with Carl Gustav and all of his grandkids, and I think it’s probably very different from the way King Charles reacts with his grands, or Oma Trixie with hers.

To be fair, I am pretty certain, had they stayed in the BRF, we would have seen this kind of coverage of Meghan. They always glorified their lovestory and wanted it to be a fairytale while V & D who definitely hadn’t had an easy start with family and press never complained about it ever. |

I don’t think it’s an apt comparison. I cannot see Marie doing this or ML or Laurentien or Mabel or Delphine or Elena or Cristina doing this without getting some serious side eyes. No royal houses are really like the British in that regard. CP and Sofia seem to be highlighted as the spare couple and they are not. The SRF has even cut in size so it’s even more bizarre. |
