Sweet snaps from the Schacks at Château de Cayx, in France, where they spent some of their summer vacation this year.

They seems to have created a well blended family!

I agree. It’s not visibly obvious from looking at their bodylanguage, that this is a blended family. They’re a family unit  and I think it’s beautiful. It’s clear that Marie loves Nikolai and Felix and that they love her too. No doubt she’s used her own experience with having step parents to emphasise with the boys when she was ‘the new one’ in the family.

I don't like Marie, I don't particularly like the whole family but their pics show how they're really close to each other. All the kids have much support and all the adults involved must have done a really great job - putting aside their (sometimes bitter) feelings and clearly emphasizing to the kids' wellbeing. I'm thinking about that every single time I see a photo of them all. I think it's imressive and unfortunately rare.

I am in the same boat, Onar, not a “Shack” fan, but I do agree they have all done a great job blending their family. Alexandra should get credit too, because the bio Mum is a huge influence on children’s relationship with their step mother.

Oh, I didn't know this at all. This is actually brand new info!

I remember some inaccuracies about when Jokke and Marie met each other, but I didn't know that Alex divorced Jokke for Martin. I was a kid and had no idea about all these things. When I first discovered the world of the royalty-related fora, it was just before Alex's divorce with Martin - how long exactly I don't remember. I remember thinking that Martin was... kind of "not enough" for Alex who had (and still has) poise, elegance... she's classy, every inch of her.

I'm sorry, I think I got out of topic writing about Alex.

Back to the topic, it's always nice to see their family photos, their dynamics.

I feel there’s a bit of “an elastic” towards their ending since Marge forced them to remain married for quite a while longer than they wished to be - we know this as a fact because Alex’s house was bought the day Fred and Mary got married.

Joachim and Marie seem very happy and Alex and Joachim seem to co parent very well too so.. all’s well that ends well, I suppose.

I saw this photo of Nikolai's gf in her immaculate designer wear .. on vacation .. and my mind went to The Parent Trap and the shallow woman who tries to trap the dad 😄

Oh God, I had no idea!

I have read in here that Jokke and Alex had to wait until Fred's wedding for their divorce but I had no idea, one shocking detail after the other today! 

These last months/year/I don't know must have been tough for them. And the public didn't have any idea about the upcoming divorce or there were rumours?
