Ana Blandiana is a poet very dear to me!

“We should be born old.
To come wise.
To be able to decide our destiny in the world.
To know what roads start from the primary crossroad.
And iresponsible to be only the longing for the journey.
And then to become younger and younger.
Marching, mature and strong, to get to the gate of creation.
To pass through it and, steping into love as teenagers,
To become children at the birth of our sons.
Anyway, they would be older than us by that time,
They would teach us how to talk,
They would rock us to sleep.
We would disappear more and more,
Becoming smaller and smaller.
As small as a grape, as small as a pea,
As small as a grain of wheat.”

She has a very heavy and very visible security presence on this trip.  Any special reason or is this just the way it will be from now on?

It is normal for people to have a lot of security at mass events, especially if they have as much impact as the Awards.
