I apologize, I haven't figured out how to post pictures... On page 48, that picture of her in the strapless blue floral dress - doesn't the necklace she's wearing look a lot like the one Catherine has? Slightly different in the settings around the rubies and diamonds, but the same general shape?

Yes very similar but Kittys (loaned?) are better

I think this was her best look, she looks lovely here. I believe this was the dinner the night before?

However, the handpainted dress was also exquisite. I kinda liked the "idea" of the main bridal gown, but not a fan of the corset bodice.

Good catch, jznozak, and thanks for the pictures, Eliza!   Star

I much prefer Kitty's necklace set to Kate's.

Kitty has the sense to wear her hair up. It annoys me that Kate more often than not wears her hair lose with evening gowns and/or fabulous pieces of jewellery. It’s too casual and her hair often obscures the beautiful pieces.

Yes!  Wasn't it the Nizam of Hyderabad necklace that Kate wore and didn't put her hair up that time either?

I still think all of Kitty's celebrations and dresses etc. are way too over the top, but she knows how to play the role and look the part.  (with the exception of the icky picture of her leaning into her hubby)

I just hope she’s happy and that he treats her well.

I get the feeling that the Spencer girls have had tough lives (at least emotionally).

I bet she has some sort of contract that requires her to wear D&G at public events where she’d be photographed.

Yes! Let the jewelry be the statement not the hair.

She’ll learn or she won’t. Hair up or down she still conveys class and elegance.

I'm about to be super cliche, and I apologize, but she really is proof that beauty and wealth are no guarantees of happiness or an easy life.  I'm with you; here's hoping he values and cherishes and respects her (and here's hoping she feels the same way back).

Very weird that in the latest iteration of their wedding celebrations (brunch with friends), the groom is nowhere to be seen.  Just her and her similarly-aged buddies.

TBH I think that in these social circles you don't only marry for love. I think she used the occasion to act like a model for D&G and sell her pictures and the brand.

Why would a 60+ something year old milllionaire marry her? She is surely some kind of a trophy wife and she gives him access to the British upper class + king (she is, after all, the first cousin of the future king of England).

He provides her with money for her accustomed life style, she might have daddy issues.

So it is a win:win situation.

On paper she is an enormous trophy for any man with money to “collect”. In reality he’s probably married another Spencer millstone of misery from the look of things. Charles has hardly corrected the mistakes of his own upbringing.

It’s all really gross to see in the year 2021.

I don't know how close William will get to these two. He and Kate are fairly picky about who they socialize with.
