I don't think we have a thread on this so I thought I'd start.

I was watching The Apprentice the other night and one of the contestants, Lucinda Ledgerwood, looks a lot like Princess Maxima.

We once had a thread about possible actors for our very own "life of the royals" movie, remember anybody?
We should of course cast Helen Mirren and James Cromwell again as QEII and Philipp, however find someone else for Charles, that actor wasn't very convincing.
For Mette-Marit Gwyneth Paltrow would be good, and Hugh Grant (if run over by a truck twice) would be nice as Freddles.
I am torn between Poppy Montgomery and Britney Spears for Maxima. Poppy doesn't show enough of her tonsils when she laughs and Britney shows too much of another part of anatomy when she is having a good time. Neither has the right hair. Poppy is nicely combed, Britney has a shaved head Thinking
Mary could and should play herself. She is a wonderful actress, like anyone who saw her fantastic train commercial can attest, totally bought it.

No, no, no!  For Maxima, I nominate Kristen Johnston.  She played Drew Barrymore's sister in Music and Lyrics.  She's got the height, the hair, and the tonsils.

Yup.  They were introduced by their mutual friend, Rosario of Bulgaria, when Mette-Marit and Haakon were living in London.  Incidentally, that same circle includes Marie-Chantal and to a certain extent Cristina of Spain and Alia of Jordan.

I've always envisioned Matthew Broderick as Frederik.  Kind of clueless, boyish, with a domineering fashion plate of a wife

Oh, very good Patricia, and most likely much cheaper to cast than Hugh Grant. (And if we are to take Michael Jackson under contract for his part of MARY, we need some extra cash, he will only sign, if we agree to pay some of his attorney debts. I know,I know, but this whole child molestation thing simply gives a good and familiar angle on the Donaldson family)
