Good choices, I love that with the Belgium royals there is no cat and mouse game, when the baby is born this is the name these are the Godparents. Right upfront.

The godsparents are Victoria of Sweden, Claire of Belgium and Count Sébastien von Westphalen zu Fürstenberg.

Mary must be devastated now   I think she was hoping to be asked as godmother since Mathilde is Iz's godmother.
Do you think it's a sign that no main royal family is willing to ask her to be a godmother?

I can't see the Spanish or the Dutch families asking from her
If Victoria would have kids one day (I hope for Lena's sake that she does) there is a possibility that Mary would be a godmother after Fred.
I guess her only hope is the Swedish family

I agree with Barrie...I like how they are straightforward. Release the name as well as the godparents at once, that way the press and public don't play any more guessing games.

It's so great not to have any guessing games.  :)The names are nice, but as pointed out, there are two other versions of Eleanor already in Spain and Holland. But it is a nice name. I think mary will never be a godmother!

The pictures are loveley! It always amazes me, how CP Matilde has unveiled a part of Philippe, I would have never thought there existed. It's just wonderful to see him with the kids! Makes me happy to know some people marry for the right reasons.

I think the major families are too classy to ask Mary to be a godmother. Either that, or the royal rumour mill is churning with news that the marriage of Freddie and Mary is not destined to last (too awkward to have warring godparents at christenings, birthdays, anniversaries and weddings).

Uhmmmm.... not really. Máxima is godmother to Sverre Magnus, Haakon and Mette-Marit's son.
