To be fair, the dress seems to have a mustard-yellowish flower pattern (along with everything else going on) so the clutch/shoes must be meant to pick that up. Though, why focus on the worst color in the whole scheme? Nothing will help this look except a lighted fire.

Years ago we had a poster, CD, who was from Australia and a hat expert. I miss CD. I think it was from her I learned the fabulous word "bogan."
Pavlos married MC to save his family's lifestyle, is it not so? But they must like each other enough to have four kids.

It's amazing to me that Sophie could look so utterly fabulous on the first day and then, on the second and third days at Ascot look worse than what the cat dragged in

... more like (desperately) looking for a husband for MO to take her off their hands! Yup, that's what I meant, Dio These events sometimes seem like 'marriage markets' to me, especially for those no-royal royals.

Wouldn't this be the perfect place to trot him out by her side? Or did that relationship quietly die?

I actually kinda like Sophie's dress minus the hat, clutch, and horrid shoes. Her best Ascot look, so far, was definitely day one. I wish we could get a full length view of her in that pink Suzannah London dress! I like it, too. I like the big flower pattern and the fabric, but I would have gotten rid of the bows and a couple of skirt pleats. The accessories don't really work for me, I see where she was going but it's off. The shoes would be ok without the purple heals, the clutch is a no and the hat doesn't go at all. I love the aquamarine pendant but it doesn't go, either. I think Lady Sarah, in her very understated way, won the day. Loved the pearl necklace and her sweetly sly smile. Zarah came in second, I like the hat (it is Ascot after all) and the pink buttons but softer shoulders would have been better. Mike looks dapper as usual.

They all strike me as quite silly and frivolous, but also as a close family. The kids don't get into trouble or do anything serious to embarrass the Greek royal family (besides be silly and frivolous) and seem to spend a lot of time together. I imagine Pavlos and MC both got what they wanted out of the marriage and as a bonus happen to be happy with one another and their life.

It's unfortunate that Sophie didn't save her Day 1 look for her carriage day, clearly we would have all enjoyed that more. But at least she's still got a few good candids from that day.

I think this is the Sophie dress for Day 1 and it is expensive. https://www.suzannah.com/products/the-grecian
