I like the bows - makes the dress less Kate-like and more Beatrice-like, with her personality.  Did not Lindsay’s dress - the cut and design of the material was mismatched with the luster and weave of the fabric.  Did like the richness of the buttercup yellow.

Lindsay looks lovely! I don’t like the end of the sleeves though.

Meh.  I could live a thousand years without seeing Peter Phillips' underwhelming gf.  Is this really what Ascot has come down to.

Kate's brown dots were also: underwhelming.  I like that hat though.  It has an originality, a sharpness that's missing from the dress.

I agree. Peter’s GF looks like she should be on Big Brother.

I actually liked Kate’s Ascot look this year. I did not like her make up though. She looks very rough in the face.

No 40-y-o is going to not look rough in bright sunlight a week after an exhausting weekend though…

I like what Kate wears, even though looks so not appropriate for such temperatures!
She is very elegant without overshadowing anyone.

I don't know why they didn't attend the previous days, apologies if it's already mentioned here, but I had the impression that they didn't want to be "too much" in the front line because both Will and Kate did such a great job in the Jubilee so now they have shifted in other events, more serious, less fun, just to not create the image of people who have fun and not working enough.
I also think that this period got too long and maybe a bit confused, my english teacher woudn't be happy  Tongue

The Cambridge's aren't really into horse racing and normally only attend on one day during the five day carnival - just like Charles and Camilla now only attend on two days (I can remember when they only attended one day as well ... although I seem to remember Camilla attending without Charles). Camilla loves horse racing, as do Anne, Mike and Zara but most of the others are there for the 'duty' side of it and aren't that interested in the event itself. Philip was famous for insisting on having a TV on in the royal box showing the cricket as he would have preferred to be at that sporting event rather than the horse races as well.
Thank you! I had no idea!

When I say she looks rough it’s more to do with the heavy, unblended eye shadow and color of her lip stick. Maybe garish is a better way to describe it.

The Coronation of King George V of England occurred on June 22, 1911.
When did Royal Ascot occur in June 1911?
