I saw on the Royal family IG account that the queen's horse won and she was so excited and it was wonderful to see. She was clapping and so happy. It is a relief because I feel like a distant family member who has been worried about her health since Philip passed.

I think HM suffered during lockdown - like lots of people did, from losing in person contact with loved ones, and loss of being able to be out and about. Her daily routine with her boxes was the same, but she did not have the stimulation of engagements and in person meetings with new people that she is very used to. Add to this Phillip's death, and you can see how her health would be affected.
As for today's Ascot fashions, I like the fabric of Sophie's dress, but not the full skirted shirtwaist execution. I liked style of Anne's coat, not the color, and she needed a different hat. Zara is just no on all fronts today.
It would be nice to see some others in the family but I guess this is the Ascot squad for this year. I have read that HM would love to be there but they are being super careful right now. I can't blame them.
