Interesting about Prince Robert of Lux.  I wonder if it's because of his wife's family money (vineyards, etc.).

So ...... did Margherita Agnelli win a HUGE settlement from her children then? It's been so long since  l looked in that scandal, but I remember she was completely passed over in her dad's will, her son John was left in control of the Fiat group, and neither he nor Lapo nor Ginerva were talking to her.

About the Brenninkmeijer family (were the hubby of Maria Carolina Bourbon Parma is of)

Magazine and the Dutch annual magazine Quote 500, this family with an estimated wealth of € 22 billion (2011) is the richest in the Netherlands. In mid-2016, the shares belonged to 68 family members. They cannot be inherited and only family members with senior positions within the group may own them. Those who no longer work there must sell their shares to the parent company Cofra Holding AG. Anyone who wants to become a shareholder must first join a training program, then take up a high position within the company and finally be invited by the group of owners to buy shares. Until the beginning of the 21st century, only men were allowed to be shareholders and hold high positions. In mid-2016, one woman owned shares.

Info from 2019:
EUR 22.5 billion. That is the capital that Quote magazine attributes to the Brenninkmeijer family, the owners of the world chain C&A. This means that the family has been number one in the list of the richest Dutch families for years. This is also the case in the 2019 edition. Although the more than 1,000 descendants of the brothers Clemens & August Brenninkmeijer live almost everywhere, but mainly in Switzerland and Germany, they continue to carry the label that they are a Dutch family. That must be the case, whoever of the family wants to join the so-called 'Sneekerkring' of active shareholders, must be Dutch and Catholic.

The name of the clothing chain C&A is an abbreviation of the brothers Clemens & August Brenninkmeijer, two German textile traders who opened their first store in 1841 in the Dutch town of Sneek. Now more than 40,000 people work for the clothing distributor worldwide. C&A has two European headquarters, one in Dusseldorf and one in Vilvoorde.

The Second World War is a dark period for the family. During that world fire, C&A took over real estate that Nazi Germany had confiscated from Jewish families. Jews from the ghetto in the Polish city of Łódź and Russian prisoners of war were also forced to work in the clothing company. In 2016, C&A, in collaboration with historian Mark Spoerer, professor at the University of Regensburg, published a book about the history of the group in the Third Reich.

Legally, C&A is owned by Cofra Holding AG, based in Zug, Switzerland. A few years ago, the Cofra shares were owned by 68 family members. These shareholders together form the so-called "Sneekerkring", named after the town of Sneek. The Cofra shares cannot be inherited and only family members with a high position within the group are allowed to own them. Those who no longer work there must sell their shares to the parent company. Anyone who wants to become a shareholder must first join a training program, then take up a high position within the company and finally be invited by the group of owners to buy shares. To reach that top you must have a Dutch passport and confirm your faith to the Catholic Church. Until the beginning of the 21st century, only men were allowed to be shareholders and hold high positions.

Last year, rumors surfaced that C&A would be sold to a Chinese group. But that divided the family. Without the chain, the unity of the family would quickly disappear. The power should then be effectively distributed and fragmented. C&A may have to compete with internet giants such as Zalando, but it does own top real estate locations in almost all major world cities. In addition to C&A, Cofra also coordinates the family real estate group Redevco and the venture capitalist Bregal.

Yup, and they're currently doing the usual ultra-rich-family-get-together:  lawsuits over it.
