Letizia has a personal designer Felipe Varela, Cristina also has a personal designer Jesus Del Pozo, the problem is that these two Spanish designers are so mediocre. Diana was lucky to have Catherine Walker. Of course, if you are French or Italian, then it's much easier to find a good personal designer . Oh boy, tell that to Princess Marie............. Marie is a Danish woman who happened to be born in France .

I did not realize that Letizia used a personal designer. So, I guess what we need is for a royal to form a working relationship with a good designer. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

I don't really understand how royals are supposed to dress. They can't wear tiaras all the time, so in their time off they can wear really casual clothing, methinks. Well, the rule needn't apply to Mrs Denmark who in general tends to overdress, but that's just the way her mind works.

QS had a personal designer and ,apparently, she advised Letizia to do so. FV may not be the most creative, his choice of, or rather his combination of fabrics is ...weird?, but L's clothes fit well and and stay free of wrinkles. She has opened her wardrobe to new brands and designers, which is great. I honestly think that taste and style can be improved and you can even become more daring; of course, you have your past with you hits and misses, but you also have a future with an ample, less unrestricted - in terms of money - choice.

After Prince George, Duke of York had been created Prince of Wales, he believed young boys should wear only kilts or sailor suits. George wrote to Prince Edward (Edward VIII) at Balmoral: Wear the Balmoral Kilt and grey jacket on weekdays and green Kilt and black jacket on Sunday. Do not wear the red Kilt until I come.

I like how Queen Elizabeth II wears bright colors to stand out in crowds.

I like how Queen Elizabeth II wears bright colors to stand out in crowds. And Sophie Wessex agrees: "She needs to stand out for people to be able to say 'I saw the queen'," Sophie explained in the documentary The Queen at 90. "Don't forget that when she turns up somewhere, the crowds are two, three, four, 10, 15 deep, and someone wants to be able to say they saw a bit of the queen's hat as she went past."

The sight of King Edward VII of England on a German railway station in a green cap, pink tie, white gloves and brown overcoat induced the Tailor and Cutter to express the fervent hope that King Edward had not brought this outfit home.
