I'm just surprised he had that much to spend.  Jordan doesn't have any oil, and their royal family is generally known as one of the poorest in the area.

It doesn't sound good for Hamzah. Was he "forced" to pledge allegiance to Abdullah? I hope he'll be okay.

Perhaps he’ll consider moving to his wife’s home country of Canada…

One of the articles about the recent revelations about he King's property empire made a point of noting that when a man in Jordan had recently raised questions about the King's property he was taken in by the police. All those Gucci outfits and cosying up to the West clearly hasn't rubbed off on making Jordan a proper democracy.
