Awwwww, I love Newfies!!! Doggy They are the most wonderful, intelligent, loving dogs. Your pet food bill must be huge!

We had our ice storm but didn't lose power, yippee! We'll be on a steady warming track now. Sending the warming East ASAP, hang on!

He’s a Chow Chow.  I have two. I do love Newfies though.

He looks so much like a Newfie! I love Chow Chows, they're very much the same. St Bernard's, too. I just love big doggos. Shoot, I just love doggos, I'm not picky about size LOL The picture gave me a smile, thank you for sharing it.

We had Flat Coated Retievers, and their lineage includes Newfies. Loved snow and cold weather. They would want out no matter how cold to nose through the snowdrifts and then have their toy thrown.  Smiley

So glad you didn't lose power karma.

We have one tiny patch of open water in the heated bird bath showing right now - not bad since it is preset to keep the water just above freezing.

It doesn't matter how old you get, buying snacks for a road trip should always look like an unsupervised 9-year-old was given $100.

It’s 12 degrees AND windy but he doesn’t care. I almost died stepping out to snap the pic.

Was -9F (-23C) yesterday morning, 'warmed up' to -2F (-19C), not remotely tempted to go outside. Neighbor phoned to say mailboxes are frozen & a note from mail carrier "delivery will be delayed."
No animal tracks in the snow. All creatures are staying in their in their nests & dens. Not even the local red fox ventured out.
Today is clear and sunny, 13F (-11C), windchill is -7°F (-22°C) and if there was less wind would be ok to go for a walk. Forecasting a warm-up to 49F (9C)  by Thursday, a better day for a long walk. I'll wait.

11* now, 27* tomorrow, 59* next weekend. No snow yet , and hardly any rain at all this year. I hope we don’t have a repeat of the drought again this year.

Rain coming down in 10-gallon buckets in my part of northern California. Woke up at 4 a.m. because it sounded like someone had aimed a fire hose at my roof. It was so loud that it drowned out the TV set when I turned it on. But-- constant mantra from Californians this year -- we REALLY NEED the rain, so it's OK.

I was wondering about you! Some of the weather forecast charts for rainfall have been in inches. Good to fill the reservoirs, but I hope it doesn't cause issues with landslides. Break out the scuba gear if you go outside!
