Any other 2Cellos fans out there?

I first came across them a few months back so you can imagine my surprise when they appeared in the Michael Jackson tribute episode of Glee last week. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ik46441kFtk

Anyway their version of "Smells Like Teen Spirit" is incredible. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jS826PwLHdQ

Here's a link to their Youtube page. http://www.youtube.com/us...2CELLOSlive?feature=watch

And for something a little more traditional

Honnish  Star great taste, Mahler is sublime.  I feel like he wrote this with his wife Alma in mind.

Oh, that is beautiful. Antonín Dvořák is one of my favourite Swashie  Star

but I have to say that Bedřich Smetana is my all time favourite composer. I listen to him, encouraged by my late father and this is my most favourite piece of his:

Bedrich Smetana "Vltava" (Moldau) http://youtu.be/SomQT9P1UAg

My father explained that the composition describes the course of the Vltava, starting from the two small springs, the Cold and Warm Vltava, to the unification of both streams into a single one. You can hear it flowing through woods and meadows, by day and night. Flowing slowly and rapidly, through the whole of the Czech Republic until it disappears into the Elbe in Germany. My father knew and visited most places that the composition describes, and listening to it made him tear up and filled with pride at the same time.

Being my first classic piece I was introduced to, gives me goosbumps everytime I hear it. And being born in Prague it has a special place in my heart.

Listening to my very favorite Soprano of all time, Montserrat Caballe, of Spain.

Yes, she is the one that did the Barcelona album with Freddie Mercury, who called her the greatest soprano in the world (which was not hyperbole).

Montserrat Caballe "Casta diva" Norma Orange 1974 (her best performance in one of my very favorite operas)

This woman's voice clears the cobwebs out of my mind and refreshes my soul.
