My e-mail is showing?!?

A lot of members are concerned that their e-mail address is visible because they can see it in the members list.

You can ALWAYS see your own e-mail, even though you have checked it to be hidden. Others CAN'T however.

So check in your profile to see if the checkbox is checked. If it is, then your e-mail is hidden.

I'm new and a little confused. My email is showing as a envelope when you click on it, my email address pops up, I've noticed this is also happens on some other RDishers accounts and iyou can access there email address. I've double checked this.

If you go into the members list, and click on the envelope thats in the email box (it only shows on some RDishers), press allow, then the email address comes up.

Although I have read this thread through, and have checked "hidden" box for my email, an envelope still appears on the members list, it also does this for a very few other members. How do I get rid of this envelope on the members list, or do you mean though I can see it others cannot, and the other members envelopes I can see are there because those members did not check their "hide email" box?  Sorry to be dumb but am still not sure - thanks folks

I am having a problem with my email showing, the envelope symbol. I cannot  change it, although I tried in the "profile settings", where "not showing email" is still checked. Looking in the "members list" the envelope symbol is there too, and it is a minority. I see that almost all other members don't have the envelope symbol.

I think it happened after I uploaded a profile picture, which I didn't have before. Although I don't see a logical reason
I hope sombody can help me to get rid of the envelope symbol, that would be very helpful

I just did the same - “email hidden”…
