Hi y'all.  I'm a new member.  I've been reading the Board as a guest, but now as a new member, I want to first familiarize myself with the Board's rules and regulations before posting anything.

Just a tiny tip... You can also adjust the size of the image if it's huge...

On the beginning tag [_img] (added _ in the beginning so I can show it, in the real post the _ needs to be removed of course) you can write the height and width attributes and it gets smaller. For example... [_img width=261 height=391] ->

This is the huge pic here: https://s-media-cache-ak0...ef0ff273a22239053e7a8.jpg

Then how to know the new width and height you want the picture to be so you won't mess the proportions? Well, there's a formula on how to calculate it but as I use Chrome, I simply tap the image and choose 'inspect'. When the code opens, I look at the size on the right of the screen (width and height) and adjust the image size by moving the border between the code window and the image. This is a bit tricky though, maybe someone else could explain it better.

Hello, I am new here.  Just wondering why there are some topics where I can't comment on?  Is this normal?

Yes, new posters are initially limited in their access to certain threads, posting etc...

I am really embarrassed to say that after all these years I still do not know how to share an image. A personal photo that is stored on my device. When I click on the insert image icon  and I get the [img] sign, what am I meant to do then?

You have to upload it to a photo sharing source like tinypic and use that. Inside the tag you will paste the URL of the uploaded photo. Smiley

I use Imgur which is pretty intuitive and allows you to edit and such  Thumb up You also don't need an account either and there isn't the same storage limits you have with tinypic

https://imgur.com/

1)Go to "new post" left hand corner,
2) click browse to upload or simply drag and drop from your desk top
3) Pic will upload and you can click the down arrow on the right hand corner of the pic for edit options and share links.
4) Under "get share links" you will have several options, use the BBCode link for this forum
5) Copy and paste it directly into a post here!
