It also seeks to lay the foundations for a "positive media culture" to enhance the image of women and improve their valuable contribution to sustainable development.
The conference adopted, as part of this strategy, a six-year action plan (2010-2015) for the popularization of the role of women in political, economic, social, cultural and sport fields.
As for the network for immigrant Arab women that was also created at the initiative of Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, it aims at highlighting the skills of these women and providing researchers and policymakers from countries of origin with data on their fields of expertise and achievements.
