Morocco's King Mohammed VI chartered a plane to fly his car to England to get repaired.
The 46-year-old monarch - nicknamed M6 - has come under fire after arranging for a Hercules Transporter from the country's Air Force to take his Aston Martin 1300 miles from Rabat to Britain
The plane, which was only carrying the 10-year-old car, landed at an airstrip in Cranfield, Bedfordshire, before the vehicle was taken to Aston Martin's workshop in Newport Pagnell, Buckinghamshire, in a truck.
He added: Planes are one of the most polluting ways of transporting goods. Surely the car could be fixed closer to home.
Tony Bosworth, a spokesman for Friends of the Earth, branded the trip "ludicrous".
He added: "Planes are one of the most polluting ways of transporting goods. Surely the car could be fixed closer to home."
Instead of the costly journey, the car could have been taken to Marbella, Spain.
The shorter trip would have involved a 140-mile stretch of road to Tangier, a 90 minute ferry crossing to Algericas and then another 110-mile drive.http://www.femalefirst.co...ng+Mohammed+VI-53024.html
