I think because of Matthijs. ;)The Linda magazine every year makes one issue with a guest editor, so I guess these issues are very popular. Mabel (unfortunately) isn't. It's too bad that she has had these connections, because I think she's doing a lot of good work these days for the Open Society Institute.

I don't read nor understand Dutch but is the letter sort of thanking the people for their support during Arianne's hospitalization? It's quite a long letter. Can somebody tell the gist of it?

They are very touched by all the hartwarming messages, letters, drawings, flowers for the birth of prinses Ariane and her being sick, a little time ago.
They were very worried by that and thank all the doctors and nurses at the hospital for taking so good care and acting so quick and proffesional. And than they thank the dutch people again for their kind messages/flowers etc. during the time Ariane was (very) sick.
They are very happy Ariane was healthy again within a short time and thrilled to take her home to their family.

This is the main message. Not exactly translated, but a short conclusion.  Smiley

Honestly I am a bit surprised they consider that a big surprise?
The photo had been made together with the first official pix (the one with Grannie and big sisters) and the text could have been written by staff.
After that announcement I would have expected a different kind of surprise, show up personally or some newer pix together with the whole family.
But that, nice as the acknowledgement is , was a surprising dissappointment.
