Several Dutch media outlets have reported that Eveline van der Bent has left her position as private secretary to princess Amalia. An unexpected move for a very loyal member of staff who had worked for the Dutch royal family for 18 years. Eveline started back in 2006 as nanny to Amalia and Alexia (and of course also Ariane who was born the year after). Over the years, she was promoted to the position of personal assistant to the king and queen and Amalia's private secretary.

Award Ceremony Erasmus Prize 2024

November 26, 2024
Royal Palace Amsterdam

King Willem-Alexander awarded the Erasmus Prize to Indian writer Amitav Ghosh (Kolkata, 1956). The King is a Regent of the Praemium Erasmianum foundation. The theme of this year's prize is 'the imagination of the unthinkable', in which climate change is given shape through the written word. Queen Máxima, Princess Beatrix and Princess Irene were also present at the award ceremony.

Today, Max, WA and the 3 A's posed for the annual winter photoshoot.

This time in Amsterdam.

Their little dog Mambo needed apparently some relief Wink

I love Amalia's outfit, she's really coming to her own.

Mambo is a cutie but I think he's been included in enough photoshoots now.

I agree! Though it probably makes it a less painful experience all round. I wonder when they’ll stop the sessions?

I think they will continue doing these sessions as long as the media still turn up for them. But I really think they should find another format because this posing is boring. Reporters were not even allowed to ask questions (one journalist even said that she felt she had to whisper as if it was some solemn moment).
