this reminds me of Princess Mathilde's role, she has connection in both the Wallon and the Flemish regions of Belgium, therefore, she glues the nation together. the flemish, however much they dislike the monarchy, there must be some people there who like the idea that their future queen has connection to them too.
Unfortunately it is not Mathilde's role to unite the Flemings and Walloons. That role lies squarely on Philippe's shoulders as future King of
all Belgians. With some of the political statements he has made plus some controversy on the trade missions to South Africa, he may not have an easy time doing so.
