I think they are going about it quite well. Lalla Salma is far from a figure head such as Rania, something that would please a muslim country such a Marocco, that is still very traditional and conservative. However to give Salma a role and some interaction with such female subjects (aren't all Cps in very traditional female roles of charity) as childrens education, child labour and health, probably doesn't go against any of the fundamentalists grains. (at least too much)

Thank you to all for sharing your information on Lalla Salma. I believe that her husband is making a wise decision in giving his wife a public role.

She, (Queen) Princess Lalla Salma is a most interesting Lady. Her husband. King Mohammed VI is getting world notice........its a difficult path that they had taken and I wish them well, they will probably need it in the years to come.

Do any of you have pictures of Lalla Salma's Royal Jewel Collection ? Haven't read anything about the Lady for some time (just about her husband and all his troubles). Any posters have tidbits of this Lady

For once Salma actually chose a pretty caftan, nice jewellery and understated make-up. She looks great!
Now, if she would just do something about the hair....

She looks beautiful. For some reason, she reminds me of Deborah Kerr in the King and I, similar hairdo and some resemblance in facial features too.

I love her hair, although I she looks better when it is not pulled back. It is so thick and curly that I bet it is quite difficult to style and control.

Love her style, especially that big rock she carries on her finger.
I heard that after her mom died, when Salma was quite young, her father remarried. The stepmom treated her quite mean. I also heard that she doesn't have any relations with her dad and stepmom but is still very close to her grandma. Is this true?

I don't know about the stepmother story but I do think she was raised by her grandmother and that they are very close.

the story of the stepmother is very true after her dad marriage his new wife just reject her and her sister this is why she was raised by her grandmother as everyone know,as for her father i think she have good relation with him in all royal family event you can see him present(gala dinners, national celebration ect...)i read in some moroccan reports that after his Retirement she give him a house in Casablanca as gift and wherever she come to Casablanca without her husband she stay with her children in her dad house, even her relationship with her half sisters is good, guests who attend her half sister weeding told the newsppaper that princess Lalla Salma was so happy for her sister and she sing and dance like any devoted sister.
