That lower back tattoo is immensely pop here in certain circles and there is a very funny german expression for it: Arschgeweih... (ass antlers).
I don't have a problem with tattoos: esp. men in the armed forces used to have tattoos, so Philipp, Fred's pop and the likes sporting them is quite common and in a way understandable. Fred's little dolphin, well it had been a nice attempt to bring some much needed masculinity to Flopsy..
Personally I am much more into temp. tattoos, they can be very good (and if you are into henna, they last quite a while!) and you can vary it: a cute embellishment around the ankle or upper arm just underneath the t-shirt sleeve, some little motive at the shoulderblade or collarbone when wearing a top that showcases it. And then again you can simply "wash" it off and have nothing but skin....
A friend of mine had the cutest little dolphin tattooed to his lower ab, just so it looked like the little one was jumping out of his swim trunks. Well an emergency appendectomy changed the happy dolphin a bit, so that now it looks like a shark bit of the fin....

Tattoos, if they are small, not stupid, and in an area that isn't always visible are fine. I find the bigger they are the tackier they look. To me when I see a women all dress and glamed looking beautiful it gets ruined when all of the sudden this huge tattoo starts calling out to you like a lighthouse high beam on full power in the dark. I think its best if it's either A- small and thus can be easily covered with makeup when the time calls for it or B- in an area that is simple can be covered on ones clothes.
Having, let say a huge one on the side your neck of your high school/college mascot might seem a cool thing to while in school, but in 20 years from then will look stupid.

But temporary tattoos are just the best idea ever.

OMG...ass antlers!  fairy, I owe you one....you have just given me my next "clever" phrase.  I have never heard that one here.....I just love coining new terminology! hahaha

I don't mind tattoos either, and certain people carry off larger, bolder designs better than others.  I myself and bucking the trend and being original by not following the trend.  I am ink free.  I also only have my ears singly pierced--that's another trend I'm bucking.  It just isn't me.

Besides, at this stage, to get my navel pierced I'd have to use a c-clamp!  hahaha  too much jelly I'm afraid.  Meh!

My pleasure Boof...
I am not into piercing either: I had my ears pierced when I was a child, but I never wear any earrings, still the hole is there and it is visible. My daughters want to have earrings as well, my oldest sneaked out and had her granny chaperone it.
I honestly and truely had a fit..., now the middle one (turning Cool is doing the " I can't ever ... it is always her that is allowed to e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g" tirade. (don't we have an exasperated smiley?)

Were it not for the fact that she's bared that part of her body a million times with inappropriate tops and what not, I'd lay money on Mary having a tramp stamp/whore tag on her lower back.

Unforunately, we'eve see enough of her to know she's not inked....well, 99% of her bod isn't anyway.  The other 1% I'm quite happy to not view, thanks!  Secret

LOL.  It wouldn't surpriise me if Mary has a tattoo - of herself with a crown on her head saying: Suck back on that Daizee

I like it.  It's more apt than "tramp stamp."

Sorry fairy i didn't see this part...I think I got so excited over ass antlers that I forgot to finish reading your post!  (Incidentally, ass antlers has been a hit so far; everyone seems to think it's very funny!)

One of my sisters friends had a Mickey Mouse face tattooed on her lower abdomen, thinking she was just so clever.

Then she got pregnant, and suffice to say Mickey now looks like a Picasso on crack--face split up into 3 uneven sections, and pulled in every direction.  (she had really deep, wide, purple stretch marks)  Hid-e-ous.  She now wishes that she'd had Mickey placed somewhere higher......or not at all.  Her little boy calls it her "belly mons'er".  hahaha

And now we can add Sofia Hellporn The Ass-p. She has quite a few tattoos. Do we think they will make an outing in the wedding gown. That would be so Klassy. Bet she's having a new one of a tiara added right now.

Maybe she'll tattoo a tiara on her scalp?  So you know, she'll always have one on.

Woman : very small can be pretty but a big Tattoo imo it's a big no no
So about royals: the only royals Who can pull it off are the duke of edimbourgh and harry, fred not so sure, same for hakoon and william.

In addition, as the Hello gallery only mentioned some:

Frederik also has:

Grandpa was proud of his tattoos

Stephanie has also a tattoo at her right side:

And on her left upperleg:

Snake has also got or used to have a butterfly tatoo on her right side, but I wasn't able to post a clear picture of it overhere. You can see part of it in the following picture:
