I like Princess Anne's hat.  I am always amused but impressed by the feats of architecture that are some of the hats seen at Ascot.  Yes

Ascot is one of my favourite events on the BRF's calendars.
QEII looks wonderful in such bright shades, it really livens her up. Champagne
Anne looks surprisingly fantastic - until you get to the "sensible" shoes.
Do they have to be black Anne?  Thinking  A nice pair of cream or pale grey pumps would have looked so much better.
Camilla looks quite nice too although her dress could stand to have been one size smaller I think.  It looks a little ill-fitting in some shots.
But in the end I think that Sophie stole the show.  She looked great! Thumb up

Just love to see these pics; thank you very much for posting, hanzo! And lots of variety in styles, it seems, and generally speaking too windy for most hats. - Princess Anne managed to look as glum as always. Don't know what it is with her but she always looks as glum as they come.

Ascot really is one of the best royal events every year. I love hats and the BRF surely does know how to wear them! Thumb up

Yes, it's good fun, isn't it, and nobody takes it too seriously. And the hats are fabulous!

I am surprised to hear myself saying this, but I think over the course of the three days Camilla was clearly the best dressed.  She looked absolutley fantastic on day 2 especially.  Champagne   Thumb up

Oh wow! Looks it's raining there, too, but I'm glad the sun came out for Lilibeth's ride in an open carriage! - Love the way she goes threw all the pastels during these Ascot days.

Even the rain couldn't dampen the high spirits or high fashion of the young royal set at Ascot on Thursday. Style-savvy Zara Phillips led the field at Ladies Day, cleverly combining two of the season's key trends in a leopard-print wide-brimmed titfer.
