Well, if they have the money and they like doing it. For them it might be a kind of a milestone. It is just a bit ridiculous that the granddaughter of a king attends and is looking for media coverage. But that seems to be the ambition of this girl -having a lot of media exposure.
It can also be that she is with friends and for them it is a just fun dress-up event. I have read somewhere that there is a debutante ball in London also. Maybe it has already been mentioned here.

Oh good grief This is her "bio" on it: "Agent of change, horse mom and dedicated to see people knowing their true power through a social transformation starting with YOU." Props to her, I guess, for not saying "Princess" in it (I'm sure the Royal Family would/did shoot that down), but I wonder how her human daughters feel being omitted in favor of her equine children?

In the US some charitable organizations sponsor the debutante balls. The girls have to do a certain number of volunteer hours in connection with the charity, like candy stripers at hospitals. Then the girls are "presented." It's not just fluff.
In a Scandinavian setting it positively reeks of fluff.

Queen Charlotte's Ball, presided over by the Countess of St Andrews. I have read that the older British aristocracy/gentry/non Hello! celebrity types still have social events such as debutante balls. They're just not publicized any more.

Well, IMO trying to become an "Influencer" (I have no idea if she already is one...) as grandaughter of the king is just tacky and ridiculous. From today's perspective I'm surprised ML didn't claim titles for her daughters.

Well, she talks to angels and promotes her boyfriend's weird ideology. Reality seems not so very important to her.

ANDREW DENTON: Yes. What did... When you first met, what did you see in each other? CROWN PRINCE FREDERIK: What did we see in each other? We saw... Well, it's a bit hard. It's a bit blurry, in a way, because it was just after the Olympics had started and it was one of those evenings where...

I love a lot Leah's dress, nice shape, beautiful color (the lower opening in the back is a bit too much tough). That price sounds very shallow (and nepotist as hell that she's won it) ... But if that makes her happy, so that's good. Found a video of her collecting her prize : https://tv.vg.no/video/25...i-takketalen-gi-litt-faen

Yes this is a really really shallow prize ceremony for influencers and bloggers… but she has luckily no title, and in some time she is no longer the granddaughter of the King but the niece… Her dress was from Fretex, second hand shop. I dont know where she gets her looks from, not ML side of the family, maybe her paternal aunt? https://www.seher.no/kong...sitt-tredje-barn/64870499

She’s a pretty girl and love the color of that dress, perfect with her coloring. Not so sure about this award business - nice recognition of her achievement but again, as someone posted, shallow award show. Kind of sad that her energy goes in a direction that is recognized in such a shallow direction. Hope there’s more positive to come from her creativity than a “makeup channel”.

I have a good feeling about ML's daughters at least the oldest two. Something about their closeness and spirit comes through and I think they are loved from all sides. They are distinct individuals who have their specialized pursuits. Makeup sounds shallow but she is learning to put her values into practice she must be accountable and prompt and focused with her work. There may be some nepotism involved in awards but she has to show up with the goods or the organization will lose credibility. This is her learning how the world works and how to be accountable. This is a win believe me. She is learning skills that will serve her well throughout the rest of her life professional and personal and honing skills that could lead her to a very satisfying career. I know someone who has been nominated for an Emmy for her work in makeup on tv shows. She is happy and fulfilled and independent with a good life.
