Is Alex's dress one of her mother's old ones or as she actually been allowed a new one? Felix and Alex look the best but I think in part its because we see actual new pictures of them so little.Felix did always look the best until the hairline receded ,the transplant makes him look young again.

Either Stephanie's feet hurt or the baby was pressing on some organ or joint. She looks like she's standing at an odd angle, perhaps to relieve some pressure or discomfort. I find it odd that there are photos of many of the members of the family seated, but not Stephanie. She's the one who needed a comfy chair!

If you are pregnant and sitting down you often look like a beached whale. She might have prefer red to stand. People would be bump watching anyway.

I hope she just showed up for the group photo then got to spend the rest of the event at home, in her comfiest clothes, with her favorite snacks.

New Year's reception

1. I like that their NY reception isn't actually on New Year's day or close to it. The Danish NY reception is really inconvenient for everybody. Guests and hosts alike have to cut their winter holiday short (or interrupt it) to attend on NY day. Makes traveling for holidays really difficult.
2. Alex's green dress is awful. There are cape dresses that are stylish. This isn't one of them. Too much fabric and it shouldn't cover the front bodice - especially if the fabric isn't sheer. She might as well just wear a green bedsheet, but a bedsheet might be more stylish since it would have to be draped on one side. But at least this might be a new dress and not a hand me down.
I'm feeling not very hopeful about her upcoming wedding dress. Alex has such poor taste in clothes.
3. Stephanie is actually the best-dressed. Her ensemble looks "lightweight". MT and Alex's outfits are both heavy handed.
4. Louis' looks is improving as he ages. He's gaining weight so his face doesn't look so gaunt and his body doesn't look so lanky.
5. If this is a white tie event (the most formal), guests should be required to wear formal clothes (or at least what is formal for their respective culture). A lot of the women are in cocktail attire. If that's the case, they should just downgrade it to black tie or cocktail. If it isn't a formal sit down dinner and just a cocktail reception with mingling and drinks, it really needn't be white tie.

Compared to her mother-in-law's very heavy makeup, Stephanie's face looks so fresh and natural.  But I still hope she got to sit down as soon as the photos were over, or, better yet, was able to go home and relax.

Poco, please explain to me the difference between coctail and formal attire. I thought the women's attire was formal.

Stephanie's dress is pretty,  but the colour washes her out.
Claire is missing again.  Am I the only one to have noticed that she seems to avoid to be seen with MT since the Waringo report had been published?

It is unlikely to be so, but Alexandra looks pregnant - the way the order lies on her stomach.

Re: It is that awful dress (Alexandra) that makes her look pregnant. Other people would not even use it as curtains.

Re Claire: I think things started crumbling there once they had their second child outside Luxembourg and named it non-royal Liam. There might have been a big blow up and Claire decided not to see her mother in law again.

I like Stephanie’s dress but not the color (or at least the way it photographs) - too grey a shade of light blue, kind of looks old and worn.

I love the shade of Alex’s dress, that emerald green is a color she can pull off.  Just not that heavily caped dress, she really looks overwhelmed by it, too much cape, not enough dress.

I love the color and richness of MT’s gown, just not her. 

Miss Claire but fully understand the potential reason she wasn’t there.

I think Stephanie looks beautiful in a very natural way, hate to be mean but not like her mother in law at all. Alexandra looks likes she slimming down for her up coming wedding. Felix is rocking hair job. Seb has slimmed down a bit or this sort of uniform suits his shape better than a white suit (not hard tbf!) Louis has defo got more to his face than before. MT looks frozen in time
