Oh of course madam will be at the coronation - she knows she'll get a big audience to play up to if she does and overshadow those bullying reports by dressing up in some inappropriately youthful outfit

I think 100 of the Dalmatians escaped and she did the best she could with the one she had left.

During his recent state visit to Latvia Henri was asked about the bullying claims...

https://www.euractiv.com/...usations-of-mistreatment/

Grand Duke Henri dismissed accusations of staff mistreatment within the Grand Ducal Court when asked during a press conference at the end of his four-day Latvia trip on Wednesday.

The Grand Duke, Foreign Minister Jean Asselborn, Economy Minister Franz Fayot, and an economy delegation travelled on Sunday to Latvia for a four-day state visit to celebrate the 100th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Riga and Luxembourg.

At the end of the visit, journalists asked the Grand Duke about accusations regarding his wife Grand Duchess Maria Teresa and staff members of the court reported by Lëtzebuerger Land.

“The reports made in the Land are not 100% true. Lots of speculations have been made”, Grand Duke Henri told the press conference.

It also seem Henri has been accused of wasting water during a drought at his French home (where Alex was recently married) and phoning his neighbour the President of France to demand the fines for doing so are rescinded. The Times has an article which focuses on Albert of Belgium but adds...

The king has joined a select blacklist of people who phone the Élysée Palace to demand immunity from the fines, including Silvio Berlusconi, the former Italian leader and, Albert’s nephew, Henri, Grand Duke of Luxembourg.

“They have no civil conscience. If I make a comment, they call the foreign minister or even President Macron,” Emmanuel Delmotte, the local mayor, told Libération newspaper.

Delmotte is angry because the village has 3,700 inhabitants but just five of them, including the Belgian royal, are responsible for the majority of water consumption in a region suffering from the most severe drought on record.

Disgusting and unworthy of a Grand Duke. Doesn't he have more than enough money to pay for fines, which in fact he could have avoided?
And I always thought he was the nice one in that family  Angry

I’ve heard a few stories over the years about Henri that suggest he isn’t too dissimilar from MT. I’ve always pretty much dismissed them but his comments about MTs behaviour, clearly letting her do whatever she wants and now this make me think maybe they are true.

He was most of the time the "quiet guy", and then, that mini rich little country (about 680.000 inhabitants) is not really important in Europe. The only time he got in the focus was when he refused to sign this law

https://www.theguardian.c...ec/12/luxembourg-monarchy

And, I must admit, that I admired his point at that time. About his wife and her behaviour, he is just brainwashed, or still much in love or to weak to protest.
How could he ever not defend his wife in public? No other choice for him, unless he wanted to separate from her.
There is no outcry in Luxembourg about their GD court, maybe because the country is small and inhabitants are more or less all well off. No camparison at all with other European countries who still have royalty.
