I'm sure that all of the CPs know about one another's backgrounds, so MC knows where Mosh comes from. She's probably still wondering how the hell she got to be a CP!

According to Wiki, MC's grandmother, née Squarebriggs, was a governess.
You don't need to have read
Jane Eyre or Jane Austen to know that the social rank of governesses was zero.
Many people, those at least not blinded by the Miller billions, would wonder how the grand-daughter of a governess became a kind of pseudo CP...a title she doesn't rally have claim to but nevertheless claims.
One thing I did like about her was her so publicly being friendly with Alex at the Christeneing, when Alex was already being ostracised by the DRF. BUt MC probably figures correctly that with the info and money she has, even if her title is fake, she has power over them and so she does what she wants.
ALso, it was MC who tried to push her friend Gigi Howard onto Felipe. Her judgement of who would or would not be acceptable as a CP was then, at least, seriously flawed - GH being tolerated by his parents for an even shorter time than Eva was!

What in the world is the matter with being a governess? They may not have the social
standing as fishermen ( Moshs kinfolk ) but it was a respectable profession for young
women who lacked the monetary means but came from respectable families.
Having read Jane Austen and indeed Charlotte Bronte ( Jane Eyre ) I should have thought you
were above belittling such hardworking women?

If you read a little bit of English history you would know most governesses came
from noble families hard on their luck or clerical families with too many children.
Unless you regard it as being a flaw to be poor or the daughter of a priest
I fail to see your point. And if Marie Chantals ancestor should indeed be "a commoner"
then I sincerely doubt any normal people would question this.
"It seem all that you accuse him of is being the son of a steward..."
"Pride and Prejudice" by Jane Austen.
And regarding MC having a false title. Is this debate not getting a bit old?

I gather the election that stripped the Greek Royal Family of their title was
entirely fixed - both elections that is!
