I don't know exactly how old Genoveva is, but isn't there something ... odd ... about her being "besties" (at least, enough to vacation together?) with a 25 year old?  [I think that's how old Victoria is?]  Genoveva must be a real people-pleaser.   

She's 47, and yes. But the royals, and the people who are in their circuit, are odd to say the least.

I don't really know how close Victoria and Genoveva are, but let's not forget that Genoveva was once married to Cayetano Martínez de Irujo, son of the late Duchess of Alba, so they probably know each other long time ago (Elena and Genoveva at least) as they belong to the same social circles.

Victoria Federica used to be a nice girl - I guess she still is.  She has a busy social life and often appears in magazines, but is very careful in front of a mic. Both women are likely to get invitations from the same tight circles.

Former Spanish King Juan Carlos has been charged with tax fraud. A group of former lawyers, judges and public prosecutors have filed a complaint against him with the Supreme Court. This was reported by the Spanish online newspaper elDiario on Monday based on court documents.
The five cases of tax fraud are said to have taken place between 2014 and 2018. Juan Carlos abdicated the throne in 2014.

According to the charges, the former king attempted to "conceal or cover up" the taxes he had evaded using opaque constructions via foundations in Liechtenstein and Switzerland.

According to the prosecutors, this behavior should be classified as serious tax fraud. This could result in a prison sentence of two to six years, which will not expire until after ten years.

The charges also challenge the former monarch's payment arrangement approved by the judiciary in 2021. It was already known then that he was under investigation. At the time, an investigation was conducted into, among other things, payments that Juan Carlos had made with credit cards that were not in his name. That investigation was completed after he had paid the outstanding amount.

Because of, among other things, the investigations into his finances, Juan Carlos abdicated the Spanish throne in 2014. He also decided to live in exile in the United Arab Emirates. In this way, Juan Carlos wanted to give his son Felipe the space to shape his kingship.

If true, it’s stunning that he would put Spain’s delicate monarchy into jeopardy with this behavior. He only got the throne himself due to Franco.
