It is nice - also that Gabriel is included and it is amazing how some royal kids (Britain, Spain, Belgium, IA Norway) can just come with their parents and do professional work and blend in while others spend their lives posing and partying (Netherlands, Monaco,  & Denmark ...)

It's not a family name--actually not a single one of Empress Maria Theresia's male line female descendants has the name Alix, and it's not a name in the Belgian royal family either. It doesn't appear to be a name in Elisabetta's family either but I like that they've gone with a royal name but one that hasn't been used before with the Austrian royals!

The only Alix in the near family I can remember was Princess Marie Alix of Luxembourg (a younger sister of GD Jean).

It seems that Belgian RF and Spanish RF have thorough plans for preparing their respective heirs to become head of state.
Elisabeth started at university then the military training.
Leonor is starting with military training then university.

Christian and Amalia don't seem to have plans in place - and it shows.
By 17-18 years old, both Elisabeth and Leonor already had small, age-appropriate royal engagements without their parents and where they were the focus.
I haven't seen that yet with Xn and Amalia. Amalia follows her parents around at their engagements, but seems mostly lost at those events.
Not sure I've seen Xn even following his parents around at their royal engagements. If it's happened, it hasn't happened often.

I agree. Just a little correction: Elisabeth did her one year military before starting university. Since then, she has participated in summer camps every year.
