Phil and Gabriel are at the spaceport = the launch is tomorrow. There's a lot of Belgian expertise/support in the JUICE probe project. hence Phil, Gabriel and the minister being in attendance

More from day 1 in Guyana. Phil and Gabriel (Gil?) met with members of the Belgian science community who work at the European Space Agency and on the JUICE project. They also inspected and presented medals to the 3rd Foreign Infantry Regiment, who provide security for the launch site and oversee jungle training for Belgian servicepeople in Guyana

It is nice - also that Gabriel is included and it is amazing how some royal kids (Britain, Spain, Belgium, IA Norway) can just come with their parents and do professional work and blend in while others spend their lives posing and partying (Netherlands, Monaco, ...)

Monaco: Those in line, namely the twins, are too young, although I noticed that Albert is taking them often to official events. Caroline's and Stephanie's children don't have official obligations. At least, that is what my impression is. Camille is showing up at some charity events of Albert and her mother, but I guess she is mostly vacationing and partying. There is no information about her having pursued some kind of higher education, and she is 24 by now. We don't even know if she has finished high school.

Leah of Norway is also a "TikTok" girl and posing as well as Eloise and recently her younger sister too. We have the modeling daughters of Pavlos/Greece and Elena of Spain's daughter Victoria (mostly modeling, partying and frequently visiting those horrible bloody bullfights)
It looks like most of the younger ones who are not in direct line of succession can do whatever they want and like. Nobody is expecting much of them when it comes to showing responsibility and taking part in charity matters. And even if their parents would't like it they cannot do much because they are young adults.
Some, such as Märtha and Laurentien even seem to support their daughter's social media careers.

Didn't Victoria, Elena's daughter, date a bull fighter or such. And also her mother oft visited bull fights

It really belongs into the Spanish thread, but to answer your question: I am not sure if the dated a bullfighter, but she is an ardent defender of bullighting, which I absolutely hate because it is very cruel to animals just for the fun of humans! She even got an honour  the "Youth and Bullfighting award " for her comitment to the defence of bullfighting.

After learning this I lost all respect for her. Maybe it is a tradition with her mother and grandfather (I wouldn't be surprised) but definitely not with Felipe and his family.

Merde - due to the risk of a lightning strike, the launch has been delayed by 24 hours

JUICE just launched! Phil and Gabriel will be travelling back to Belgium this evening as it's the King's birthday tomorrow.

I haven't seen enough footage of the trip to assess how Gabriel did, but he seemed attentive and interested in photos. I like the way Phil and Til are doing these parent/child trips, and finding areas of royal activity which meet their children's interests.

While Elisabeth is young and focusing on her studies, it makes sense to bring in Gabriel to support the more business/science-y events

It looks like a really great father-son-adventure. The Belgians big plus is that they always manage to fit in - in all contexts. So they come across again as easy going.
