  New thread

I visited this year the charlettonburg palace and I fell in love with it   Especially with Q. Louise's second bedroom (she wanted another one after Napoleon slept in her room), they didn't let you make photos inside but I bought a postcard so later I will scan it  Cool although the postcard doesn't show how lovely was that room  Snare

Belvedere

now it's a museum about the royal porcelain, and the sets they showed were lovely

Thanks for the photos (give you a star in 24 h)

Poor Louise. Napoleon was a nagger. Really. Every time I read stories from that time, Napoleon was involved in everything.  Crap
But without him, Max Joseph I. wouldn´t have been King of Bavaria, and the Oktoberfest wouldn´t be there (Ludwig I. and Thereses wedding day).

This year the 200th anniversary

Hug To MW and Rearden for a spectacular presentation of the Charlottenburg, thank you so much.   Star Star Star Star Star multi stars for all the photos and information.   Queen Louise's bedroom is stunning.  It certainly makes Malmaison and Josephine's bedroom seem like a stage set.

This is how the palace was in 1943  Sad

They had to restore nearly all the palace, and the things inside are mostly from the berlin palace that was destroyed.

Two better photos of the Belvedere palace inside the gardens
