Miss Waynfleet, thanks for posting all these historically interesting photos! I feel kind of melancholy for the old-fashioned but truly dignified royalties era, and I always liked Sonia’s very elegant wedding dress.

No problem, Tulip!  Angel

Maybe the next generation is our hope in fashion and marriage

I heard that royals or nobles who have a commoner as a parent, marry into noble and royal again.

JC looked better on his forties, he had a powerful aura around him that was very attractive but he was not handsome (imo)

well the theory doesn't hold as Vicky and Haakon married commoners

Awww, how nice  Star
 Beer

Johann Georg von Hohenzollern was very good looking as groom. And Birgitta didn´t look like a leather bag.

IMO the tiara looked on her better than on Silvia and Vicky (both were pretty brides)

His BIL looked creepy with his smile. I read that he first observed her with a spyglass, he was too shy.Smiley

I think he looks like Constantine  Thinking we can agree on that he favours the greek side  Smiley

Felipe doesn't have the aura that JC had and still has

I wonder If there is such a term in English of one having one big brow instead of two we call It "a one brow man" here and JC was that man

I can definitely see Harry in the older pictures of the Duke of Edinburgh - some angles he's more William, but facial features, is really very Harry to me.
