1st June 1867: Following the wedding of Princess Alice (1843 - 1878), 3rd daughter of Queen Victoria of England, to Prince Louis of Hesse Darmstadt, a reception is held by Princess Alice on behalf of the Queen. In attendance are Prince Arthur, Duke of Connaught, the Prince of Wales (Edward VII) with the Grand Duke Ludwig of Hesse Darmstadt and Princess Alice.
