Well, MM hast defined a new low low after Sofia defined Low and Sofia ist working too much in my opinion, once a year would be absolutely suffcient.  She does not have any qualifications at all. I would not blame MM for her family, it is not her fault. Her dad clearly did not care about her or Marius, he continuisly embarrassed them. Apparently there is a new satirical novel about the NRF called King Durek and the Curse of Pharaoh. It’s written by an anonymous author, who the publisher says is a writer well known in Norway and someone who frequents the circles around the NRF. This article has lots of speculation about who the author might be! The book is apparently fictional, but based in truth and deals with the scandals around the family and growing republicanism in Norway.
In the book, the reader meets Durek and Märtha, Marius Borg Høiby, the Crown Prince and Princess – and the King and Queen. In addition, people such as Venstre leader Guri Melby, Aftenposten editor Trine Eilertsen and crime writer Anne Holt.
– In the book, Guri Melby is the leader of the republican movement – and willing to go to great lengths to achieve her goals, while Trine Eilertsen uses her position to influence public opinion against the monarchy, the publisher states.
He will not agree that it is in any way ethically irresponsible to publish such a book in the midst of the crisis the Norwegian royal family is currently facing.
– No, no. We are prepared for trouble, but we think this is both nice and refreshing. It's nice to see an author allow themselves a little more, to go a little further than they could do under their own name.
– The book does not resent the things that are deeply tragic, but shows that the monarchy has had its share of trials lately. It treats the royal family satirically, but kindly. There are probably other characters here who get a more sour treatment, says Henriksen. It was called Atomic People and very worthwhile watching, if extremely harrowing. |

Seems that way to me. Wonder if there is any precedent for MM to not become Queen when Haakon becomes King, especially if it’s found that she was part of a cover-up to protect her son. It’s not as though she’s set the world on fire with her Crown Princess-y work ethic, such that Norwegians would rise up in her defense and demand big things for her. Maybe even a demotion - when Haakon succeeds to the throne, Ingrid Alexandra will be Crown Princess, is that correct? If MM does not become Queen, is there a lesser title that they have already for her to use (not suggesting divorce, of course). |

I would not call the Nobel prize "fun events to increase presence" the whole official Norway from the Storting, Goverment, Supreme court and Royal house always attend this event which is rather solemn and moving, the dinner at Grand Hotel to honour the prize laureate is annual, and always attended by official Norway.
Ingrid Alexandra will be Crown Princess when Haakon accends, there is no other title for the spouse of the King in Norway, than Queen, though in modern times we have only had two since Crown Princess Märtha died before Olav became King, but no doubt she would have been Queen as well. A more interesting question is what Ingrid Alexandras husband will be, Prince like in Sweden and Denmark, or Crown Prince.
