I'm glad you posted about this, OC. I did watch it last night and was very interested. I'd like to know from those with more knowledge about the events as to how accurate the production is. I was mostly struck by how strongly the actor portraying Olav resembled him - it was almost spooky.
What I loved is how they portrayed the family speaking to one another--Martha mostly speaks Swedish, Olav speaks Norwegian and Haakon speaks Danish, and the children mostly Norwegian but the subtitles sometimes have them speaking a little Danish or Swedish too. Haakon even calls Harald "Hajan" which was apparently his childhood nickname. I've read the show does take a lot of artistic license but I liked that the director kept this accuracy in!
Haakon also seems like he was a really fun grandfather and a loving father. And I agree, the actor playing Olav looks scarily identical to the real Olav. Haakon's actor as well. Very good casting there!
