She was the daughter of Grand Duke Konstantin Nikolayevich of Russia, and so she was a granddaughter of Tsar Nicholas I and first cousin of Tsar Alexander III.
She got married to the new king of greece when she was sixteen!

She was still so young that when she went to Greece for the first time, she took a chest full of her favorite dolls.

Olga was politically savvy though.  When she embarked from the boat, she wore a gown with the colors of the Greek flag and the crowds went wild.  She was loved from day one.  It also helped she was Orthodox, too.

I remember Prince Michael of Greece sharing that story on "A Royal Family.' Have you seen that series Michelle?

It's been on PBS before but it has been a few years now. It is really worth viewing if you can find it. (Sadly the episode on Denmark highlights Fredrick's poor interviewing skills while his mother and brother are actually very interesting.)

Nice!

Some "past photos" of Tatiana Blatnik that a reporter gleaned from her "former" facebook. Tats posted some of these (like the kid photo) after the wedding announcement (maybe for reporters to use) and it opened her other photos for them, too. Get a look while you can, she'll try to scrub them too. Crazy

Looks like the faux fur shrug I just saw at Forever 21.  Maybe she bought it when she accompanied Butterteef to get that tiara.

Seriously though-when/where was this pic taken?

Thinking
Philip's father and Constantine's grandfather were brothers.
They were sons of the first Danish Prince that became King of Greece, George I of Greece. Philip's father was a Prince of Greece an Denmark while Constantine's grandfather was the eldest child and became King after the death of his father as Constantine I.
