I agree, she looked a little off last night. I hope it's just missing the late Queen and not a reaction to any behind the scenes machinations of the new powers that be.

At @zsllondonzoo, The Countess of Wessex joined children supported by the community nursing team for some festive fun.

The activities took place as part of ZSL’s Community Access Scheme, which aims to bring people closer to wildlife and to learn about their conservation work.

At the @FCDOGovUK’s International Conference for Preventing Sexual Violence in Conflict, The Countess of Wessex today joined @DenisMukwege ‘in conversation’ as they discussed the work of the @PanziFoundation in the Democratic Republic of the Congo - which HRH visited last month:

Sophie speaking on her visit to @panzifoundation. Really nice.

‘It was one of the most amazing visits I have ever done’ Countess of Wessex tells #psvi conference about her recent visit to Panzi hospital in DRC and talks movingly of their ‘holistic approach’ and the compassion of their staff

Sophie's very hands on, it's one the things I especially like about her.

Love the jacket but I think Lady Louise should pilfer it from Mom's closet, it would be smashing on her.

What a nice visit.  Sophie looks good and I love that jacket, just not sure about it with those green slacks though.

Totally! With ripped jeans... But I doubt Louise does that...

Maybe when just hanging, or going for a night out with friends. I hope so at least.  Smiley I've always thought she'd do fine when she was free to choose her own wardrobe.

The green pants -- trousers to you folks in the UK -- seem to me to be of a too summery-weight fabric to go with the jacket. I don't mind the colors together, however.  But it's like summer on the bottom and winter on the top.

The Countess of Wessex is in Washington DC where today she’ll be honoured with a Hillary Rodham Clinton Award for her work in raising awareness of gender-based violence and championing women in business.

Clip of Sophie’s speech as she received her award from that woman.
